Chimay White - Cinq Cents

Chimay White (called Cinq Cents in the larger, 750ml bottle) is golden in color with a slightly hazy appearance. Its head is characterized by the aroma combination of fresh hops and yeast. The flavor comes from the smell of hops: fruity notes of muscat and raisins provide its attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but a slight after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. Invented in 1966 by Reverend Father Theodore - the newest beer to be created by the Abbey of Scourmont. This top-fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is neither filtered nor pasteurized.
